Artist's Description

The Mackinac Bridge, which connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas, was built between 1954 and 1957. At the time of its opening, it was the world's longest suspension bridge. In this scene, the approach to the Mackinac Bridge glides into a bank of fog rolling off the Strait.
