Description
Chicago—The Windy City. Incorporated in 1837, this city of 2.7 million is the third largest in the United States. Chicago is a finance, industry, transportation, and telecommunications hub; it is also famous for its unique architecture, art scene, and music scene. The city rises from the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Chicago River. Chicago is home to such landmarks as the Willis (formerly Sears) tower, the John Hancock Center, Millenium Park, Cloud Gate, Soldier Field, Adler Planetarium, Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, and Chicago Union Station.
This is an abstract shot of high rises in downtown Chicago. An overcast morning created the perfect environment for this type of photography- no harsh highlights and shadows, but even lighting throughout the frame.
