Description
Chicago--The Windy City. Incorporated in 1837, this city of 2.7 million is the third largest in the United States. Chicago is a finance, industry, transportation, and telecommunications hub; it is also famous for its unique architecture, art scene, and music scene. The city rises from the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Chicago River. Chicago is home to such landmarks as the Willis (formerly Sears) tower, the John Hancock Center, Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, Soldier Field, Adler Planetarium, Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, and Chicago Union Station.
This is a beautiful summer morning along the Chicago River. The Trump Tower dominates the scene and is illuminated perfectly by the morning sun. Several tour boats stand ready to accept their passengers, but they will have to wait several more hours. This early in the day, the city seems deserted. In just a few short hours, however, the streets will come to life as the population wakes up and commuters arrive for work.
