Description
Seaside cave along the Pacific coast of San Josef Bay, located in Cape Scott Provincial Park. Cape Scott Provincial Park is located at the cape of the same name, which is the northwestern tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It was established in 1973 with about 37,200 acres, and later expanded to approximately 55,090 acres. Lanz and Cox Islands Provincial Park, formerly Scott Islands Marine Provincial Park, is offshore, to the northwest of Cape Scott. The park is known for its old growth forest and sandy beaches. The terrain is rugged and the area is known for its heavy rain and violent storms.
Although we did not encounter one of the violent storms during our time spent on the beach, it was dreary and rainy for much of the time we spent there. The beach at San Josef Bay offers several rock outcroppings, cliffs, and small caves to explore. At low tide, a headland can be rounded to access a separate beach. I really liked the way the light emphasized the green of the leaves clinging to the roof of this particular cave.
This photo would be ideal for a beach, ocean, or seascape lover's home or office. The muted tones and subtle greens provide a subtle piece that offers viewers more to explore. It is available as a canvas print, framed print, acrylic print, wood print, metal print, art print, or greeting card. Licensing options are also available: see below.
