Artist's Description
A foggy morning along Long Beach in Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, on the Pacific Coast of Vancouver Island, Canada. Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is known for its rugged coastlines and temperate rainforests. The Long Beach Unit, located along Highway 4 between Tofino to Ucluelet, features several beaches, short trails, and a campground. Wickaninnish Bay is bordered by the eponymous Long Beach, as well as Combers Beach, and Wickaninnish Beach, while Florencia Bay to the south includes a more sheltered beach. These beaches provide some of the best access to the west coast of Vancouver Island.

Lines created by the constant waves made a pleasing foreground for the distant rock outcrop. Morning sea fog provided an ethereal, almost dreamlike quality to the beach and early morning light on this day.

About Matt Hammerstein
Follow on Instagram @mhammersteinphoto I have enjoyed photography ever since I was young; I have always wanted to get my hands on a camera and take pictures when I see one. Today, I am enjoying photography as a side endeavor while I pursue a degree in civil engineering. I enjoy producing architectural, nature, and landscape images, especially while hiking and traveling. Many of my images are from trips taken to many parts of the United States. I have galleries featuring photographs of many locations and a wide variety of subjects. Any would look great and provide an eye catching conversation piece for homes, offices, or...
