Description
A view across the gently rolling wheat fields of the Palouse region of southeastern Washington state and northwestern Idaho. This region, south of Spokane, is known for the peculiar and picturesque loess hills, featured in this photo, were formed by wind-blown sediments. The area is known for farming and agriculture, and is a major wheat producing region.
The village of Steptoe, as seen from Steptoe Butte. The haze in this photo is actually caused by dust from the dirt road through town, which creates a beautiful backlighting effect around the town's two grain elevators in the summertime. This photo is available as a canvas print, framed print, acrylic print, wood print, metal print, art print, or greeting card. Licensing options are also available.
