Description
Wintry morning in downtown Chicago. Incorporated in 1837, this city of 2.7 million is the third largest in the United States. Chicago is a finance, industry, transportation, and telecommunications hub; it is also famous for its unique architecture, art scene, and music scene. The city rises from the shores of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Chicago River. Chicago is home to such landmarks as the Willis (formerly Sears) tower, the John Hancock Center, Millennium Park, Cloud Gate, Soldier Field, Adler Planetarium, Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, and Chicago Union Station.
This photo is a bit of a different take on the Chicago skyline, and a little more abstract. The cold air made the steam plumes large and noticeable, and the gray day created nice contrast among the buildings allowing for plenty of detail to be visible in the cityscape. This photo would be right at home in any modern home or office; especially as a large, attention-grabbing centerpiece. It is available as a canvas print, framed print, acrylic print, wood print, metal print, art print, or greeting card. Licensing options are also available: see below.
